Founded in 1989 “Hathor” began as a maker of health focused massage oils, body lotions and "facial care products that were sold in destination spas." As founder Mellta Swift delved deeper into the personal care industry, she realized that products used on intimate areas were often of lower quality than those used for general body care. Therefore, starting in 2000, she transitioned to making lubricants with "gentle plant based ingredients."
